About the Role:
Our banking client is seeking a Senior Solutions Designer to join the Payments team in Toronto. This role focuses on building and maintaining real-time payment applications while modernizing existing platforms. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with strong Java/Spring expertise, experienced in payment systems, and ready to guide a growing development team.
Must-Have Qualifications 10+ years development and end-to-end solution design experience (J2EE, Java 8)
Strong expertise with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and related frameworks




5+ years RESTful API and database experience (Oracle preferred)
Hands-on with Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Git, Nexus
3+ years Kafka/MQ experience
Banking domain experience
Leadership and mentoring experience
Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with file processing applications
Hands-on experience with SSO, MFA, PingFederate, OIDC, OAuth, API Gateway
Knowledge of CI and test-driven methodologies
