The Opportunity Manager and Team Lead, Third Party Residential Underwriting-NBBP, based in Toronto, ON, Canada. Location: 16 York St, Toronto, ON. Overview First National Financial provides underwriting expertise and services on behalf of other financial institutions to the Canadian Mortgage Broker channel. The Manager oversees a team of Mortgage Underwriters, Associate Mortgage Underwriters, and Mortgage Funders in meeting the goals of the Third-Party Residential Underwriting Division, ensuring adherence to underwriting policies and guidelines and maintaining service excellence. What you will contribute Establishes and maintains positive relationships with mortgage brokers to build loyalty to the Company Maintains positive relationships with external partners such as mortgage insurers, appraisers, title insurance companies, and solicitors Generates new business opportunities through existing referral sources to help achieve company targets Makes lending decisions within established limits while ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines Completes management reporting as required Stays current with industry knowledge, competition, and market trends Manages team capacity through delegation of work and monitoring of volumes Manages performance of team members through feedback and coaching Establishes performance and work standards Recruits, interviews, hires, and onboards new employees as required Provides coaching, training,
