Become a STEAM Programming Facilitator with Geering Up at UBC Okanagan. Engage youth in hands-on STEAM activities and lead inventive workshops and events throughout the Greater Okanagan region. This hybrid role combines in-person and potential remote work, focusing on developing and delivering engaging STEAM content aligned with educational goals.
Working under the guidance of experienced coordinators, you’ll facilitate workshops, clubs, camps, and community events while supporting a diverse team. Your contributions will ensure programming is inclusive and successful in reaching marginalized communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop curriculum-aligned STEAM content for youth
- Lead in-person workshops, clubs, and camps
- Support staff training and leadership development
- Ensure adherence to safety and risk management
- Conduct evaluations and timely reporting Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience with children or youth
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Background in STEAM subjects preferred
- Experience in project management is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and Criminal Record Check is required Empower the next generation through creative STEAM education at UBC Okanagan.
