Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sterilization Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized according to strict safety and quality standards. This role is essential in maintaining a sterile environment to support patient safety and operational efficiency. Candidates should possess a commitment to precision and cleanliness.

Duties

- Operate sterilization equipment such as, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilizers, following established protocols.
- Prepare instruments and devices for sterilization, including cleaning, disassembly, and packaging as needed.
- Monitor sterilization cycles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Document sterilization processes accurately for record-keeping and quality assurance purposes.
- Inspect sterilized instruments for damage or contamination before distribution for clinical use.
- Maintain cleanliness of the sterilization area, adhering to infection control procedures.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking sterilized supplies and ordering replacements when necessary.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to handling biohazardous materials and chemicals.




- General cleaning, organizing, and restocking duties.

Qualifications

- Certification in sterile processing or related fields is a plus but not required
- Reliable
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Likes to dress up and have fun! (we have costume dress up days almost once a month)

Schedule

- Alternating Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday 7:15am to 4:30pm
