Join FortisBC as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op, offering you an 8-month full-time role based in Surrey, BC. Engage with skilled teams while gaining valuable industry experience in gas system design. As a third or fourth-year engineering student, you will play an significant role in various capital project assignments, working directly with engineers and management.
This role emphasizes designing natural gas pipelines and facilities, performing assessments, and developing compliance standards. You will be integral to fostering a team-oriented project environment and driving innovation across teams. Key Responsibilities:
Create designs for gas pipelines and facilities
Participate in stakeholder meetings and collaborations
Execute engineering assessments and document findings
Formulate design standards for projects
Suggest process improvements aligned with codes Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (3rd/4th year)
Active enrollment in a Co-op program
Must have a valid driver’s license
Familiarity with CAD and Microsoft Office
