We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Freezer Forklift Order Picker to join our warehouse operations team. This role involves operating a forklift in a freezer environment (approximately -20°C) to pick, stage, and move product accurately and efficiently.
This is a physically demanding role requiring comfort working in cold conditions and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklift equipment (Order Picker / Reach / Counterbalance as required) in a freezer setting.
Pick and prepare customer orders accurately using RF scanner or pick sheets
Safely load, unload, move, stack, and stage products
Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies
Wrap pallets and prepare shipments for outbound distribution
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the freezer area
Follow all health & safety procedures, including PPE requirements
Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues
Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets
Requirements
Work Workplace
Freezer temperature: -20°C
Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs
Prolonged standing, walking, and operating machinery
Must wear freezer PPE (thermal suit, gloves, etc.)
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid forklift certification (Order Picker required; Reach/Counterbalance an asset)
Minimum 1 year experience operating forklift equipment in a warehouse setting
Experience working in freezer or cold storage environments preferred
Comfortable working in -20°C conditions for extended periods
Ability to lift to 50 lbs consistently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer skills (RF scanner experience preferred)
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures
CSA-approved safety shoes required
