Lead environmental initiatives as the Environmental Programs Manager with the Far North Natural Resources Partnership. Drive sustainable practices and ensure responsible development across forestry, mining, and energy sectors. In this pivotal role, you will report to the Director of Current Business and Resource Development.
The position requires expertise in environmental impact assessments, field monitoring, and compliance oversight. You will engage with Indigenous Knowledge while supporting community-led economic opportunities and land stewardship. Key Responsibilities:
Review complex resource development proposals and assessments
Provide guidance on sustainable practices for projects
Facilitate community-led technical reviews of proposals
Oversee regional environmental compliance and monitoring programs
Track cumulative environmental impacts on local ecosystems Requirements:
University degree in Environmental Science or related field
3–5 years of experience in environmental oversight
Proficient with GIS tools and data management software
Solid knowledge of resource management legislation
Experience collaborating with Indigenous communities Utilize your expertise in environmental management to protect customary rights and advance sustainable development with FNNR.
