TCDSB seeks a Designated Early Childhood Educator for a vital position in Indigenous Education starting September 2026. Drive impactful learning experiences through the Kindergarten Life Skills Pilot Project. This contract role supports Indigenous education by implementing the Kindergarten Life Skills Pilot in collaboration with classroom educators.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a solid understanding of Indigenous histories and cultures. Your ability to build relationships and foster children's well-being will be essential to the pilot's success. Key Responsibilities:
Implement Kindergarten Life Skills programming across multiple schools
Provide culturally relevant early learning rooted in Indigenous traditions
Establish connections with Elders and Indigenous community members
Work with teachers to plan and execute daily activities
Ensure a culturally protected and nurturing space for children Requirements:
Two-year Diploma in Early Childhood Education mandatory
Registered with Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
Experience demonstrating children's social-emotional support
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and developmental frameworks
Proficient communication skills for family engagement Elevate the learning journey of children through culturally rich education as part of TCDSB.
