Join the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre as the Assistant Director, overseeing strategic operations in museum management and public engagement. This role focuses on enhancing visitor experiences and running effective operations. In collaboration with the Director, you'll shape public programming, promote community outreach, and manage museum collections in the Northwest Territories.
Your leadership will build partnerships with Indigenous organizations and other stakeholders while driving initiatives that connect locals with their culture and history. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for public programming and visitor services
Lead community engagement initiatives to connect with Northerners
Oversee museum collections and conservation efforts
Develop partnerships with schools and tourism operators
Support operational planning and policy development in Culture and Heritage Requirements:
Degree in Museum Studies, Education, or related field
Five years experience in cultural institutions
One year of supervisory experience
Equivalent education and experience considered
