If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-moving field workplace and takes pride in keeping people safe, this role is for you.You’ll be hands‑on in the field—conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, supporting training, and ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety standards. and near‑missesHelp identify root causes and contribute to corrective and preventive actionsMaintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and equipment logsPrepare weekly/monthly safety reports for managementSubmit site inspection reports and corrective recommendations to Project ManagersSupport the company Return‑to‑Work / Light Duty program and liaise with WorkSafeBC as requiredReport policy violations to Foremen and Project ManagersTraining & Safety CultureAssist with Toolbox Talks, safety orientations, and site training sessionsPromote a proactive, positive safety culture across all job sitesCommunicate safety updates and legislative changes to field teams and managementCoordination & AdministrationSupport and help coordinate monthly JOSH/JOHS safety meetings (agendas, minutes, follow‑ups)Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance with company safety standardsProvide general administrative and site support as requiredWhat You BringRequired / Preferred QualificationsOccupational Health & Safety training such as CSO, NCSO, NHSA, or equivalent OHS diploma/certificate (BCIT or accredited institution preferred)Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation Act (WCA) and WorkSafeBC OHS RegulationConfident, clear communicator with strong interpersonal skillsCalm, diplomatic, and professional in high‑pressure field environmentsValid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between multiple sites dailyAssets That Stand OutOFA / First Aid / CPR certification (or First Responder experience)Previous construction or scaffolding industry experienceExperience with incident investigations, JHAs, inspections, and toolbox talksFamiliarity with JHSC/JOHS participationTraining in Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platforms, Scissor Lift, or Forklift operationBasic computer skills (reporting, documentation, email systems)HR or return‑to‑work / injury management experienceJob DetailsJob Type: Full-timePay: $36.00–$50.00 per hourWork Location: In person (Burnaby, BC)Will travel approximately 25% of the time.Ability to commute or relocate to Burnaby, BC before starting work is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
