Logistics & Global Trade Compliance Coordinate domestic and international shipments to support production schedules, customer deliveries, and quarterly business objectives. Collaborate with internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure the timely movement of medical equipment across borders. Maintain compliance with applicable import/export regulations and company policies.
Work with customs brokers and logistics providers to support complex customs classifications (HS Codes), valuations, and country‑of‑origin documentation to minimize shipment delays. Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers. Monitor transportation performance, support vendor negotiations and identify opportunities to improve service levels, transit times, and freight costs.
Supply Chain
Planning & Procurement Manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) process. Translate sales forecasts into actionable build plans and procurement schedules. Manage relationships with suppliers and support sourcing activities, contract administration, and performance monitoring.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and manage supplier risk/performance. Monitor adherence to the company’s inventory targets. Implement strategies such as Kanban, Safety Stock, Min/Max to maximize cash flow while preventing stockouts.
Maintain and support the ERP system’s supply chain modules (Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management). Drive data integrity. Oversee the logistics of spare parts and service loops for the installed base of devices in the field.
Monitor the departmental budget and drive reductions in purchasing decisions, overhead, freight, return goods, scrap rate, and material variance. 8+ years in Logistics/Supply Chain, with at least 3 years in the Medical Device or highly regulated manufacturing sector preferred. Deep knowledge of International Customs Regulations (Canada/USA/EU/APAC) and ERP systems. Proven ability to build departments from scratch and separate "Supply Chain" functions from "Manufacturing" functions.
Solid understanding of electro‑mechanical supply chain management. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Supply Chain. An MBA in Supply Chain is a strong asset. The expected base pay range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 CAD.
