Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Swine Technician to join our dynamic livestock team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care, management, and health monitoring of swine on the farm. Your energetic approach will help ensure the well-being of the animals, maintain optimal farm operations, and support the overall productivity of the operation.

Responsibilities

- Assist with feeding, watering, and cleaning of swine facilities to promote healthy growth and hygiene.
- Monitor animal health daily, identifying signs of illness or distress and reporting issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance on farm machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks related to moving feed bags, equipment, or animal supplies safely and efficiently.
- Support breeding, farrowing (birthing), and weaning processes under supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, feed schedules, and production data.




- Follow all safety protocols related to farm machinery operation and animal handling.

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on farm equipment and machinery.
- Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly while maintaining proper safety procedures.
- Familiarity with farm machinery such as feed mixers, tractors, and other livestock equipment.
- Robust attention to detail for monitoring animal health and maintaining records.
- Good physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues clearly.
