As a part-time Kanawendaakosowinik Caregiver at KIDO, you will provide essential support for awaashishag and oshkaadizag.
Your responsibilities will include cooking, assisting with education, and fostering a safe workplace grounded in KI traditions. This position allows for meaningful interaction with children, enhancing their life skills and cultural knowledge. Key Responsibilities:
Cook nutritious meals and teach cooking skills
Keep all common areas clean and secure
Supervise children during activities to ensure safety
Follow and communicate established KIDO rules
Participate in mandatory training and shift reporting Requirements:
Proven experience with vulnerable youth and families
Knowledge of Indigenous culture and teachings
First Aid and CRP certification
Clean Ontario Driver’s Licence necessary
