Duties
Select, cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to quality standards and customer specifications
Operate meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation at all times
Package meat products securely for retail display or wholesale distribution, ensuring proper labeling and portioning
Maintain inventory levels by receiving deliveries, inspecting quality, and organizing stock in the storage area
Uphold food safety protocols by following proper handling procedures, sanitation practices, and hygiene standards
Assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive shopping experience
Support kitchen or food preparation teams as needed with meat-related tasks to ensure smooth operations

Requirements




Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in food preparation or butchery
Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food handling safety standards
Ability to operate knives and meat processing equipment safely and accurately
Solid understanding of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, skilled attitude
Previous kitchen experience or familiarity with food packaging is preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently
