Engage in a fulfilling role that combines engineering with project oversight in a hybrid setting.The Nuclear Waste Management Organization seeks a Project Management Engineer dedicated to overseeing its ambitious Second Deep Geological Repository Project. This full-time position involves managing all project phases, ensuring that safety protocols are upheld, and delivering results that align with NWMO’s values and governance. You will work in a hybrid model, combining office and work from home primarily in Toronto or Ignace, Ontario.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and risk assessment activities
- Develop project execution strategies including cost estimates
- Communicate project status and maintain stakeholder relations
- Monitor compliance with quality standards and practices
- Support contract administration with external consultantsRequirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in project execution
- Familiarity with nuclear waste management principles
- Strong organizational and negotiation skills
