Bilingual Medical Claims Assistant – 100 % Remote (Montreal, QC)
Remote prospect in the insurance sector supporting mortgage creditor claims. This role involves intake calls, medical information requests, eligibility review, and client communication. Requires bilingual English/French skills, claims adjudication experience, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Conduct intake calls with claimants and update case records.
Review claim forms and documents for completeness and accuracy.
Request and process medical information.
Determine initial coverage eligibility and communicate with claimants.
Summarize employment and lender documentation.
Prepare written correspondence for additional information or claim decisions.
Ensure quality, cost-effective adjudication within defined standards.
Collaborate with the manager to meet team goals.
Perform additional reporting and administrative tasks as required.
What you will need to succeed
High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred or equivalent work experience.
Bilingual in English and French to interact with claimants, mortgage lenders, and medical providers in both languages.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Previous experience in adjudicating life and/or disability claims within the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of medical conditions and terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 to manage and update claim records.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Capacity to handle a high volume of claims, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to respond professionally in high-pressure situations.
Solid interpersonal skills to work independently and in a team.
Adaptability to process changes and evolving business requirements.
What is in it for you

4-month contract with potential for permanent employment.
Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
