Job Description
Develop and verify civil/structural design calculation
Analyze existing structures to support project execution
Provide engineering justification for construction changes
Support field construction, including field change notices and design revisions
Ensure compliance with nuclear engineering standards (CSA S16, A23.3, N291, S136, S157)
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and junior staff
Resolve field issues and provide technical guidance
Requirements
Must-haves:
Professional Engineering Designation in Ontario (P.Eng.) or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 5 years of nuclear experience (Bruce Power experience preferred)
Nuclear Security Clearance
Technical competency in civil/structural engineering (steel and concrete design)
Ability to articulate technical arguments professionally
Nice to have:
Familiarity with nuclear design standards and procedures
Project engineering experience (asset but not required)
Tools / software / methodology / certification:
Knowledge of CSA S16, A23.3, N291, S136, S157 standards
Experience with design change notice (DCN) packages
Familiarity with nuclear plant operations (training can be provided)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and conflict resolution
Ability to work in a team and integrate well with existing staff
