In this pivotal role under the Manager, Access & Privacy, you'll provide education and policy advice for the Regina Police Service to meet The Local Authority Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Your expertise will steer the processes for FOI applications while ensuring timely legislative compliance and conducting privacy audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Process FOI applications and provide compliance advice
Conduct training sessions on LAFOIP for law enforcement
Review and redact records for compliance with the Act
Assist with policy development to ensure LAFOIP adherence
Conduct risk assessments and monthly privacy audits
Requirements:
University degree in Law, Public Administration, or related
Minimum three years of LAFOIP or FOIP experience
Solid communication and leadership skills
Proficiency in records management software
Ability to handle privacy investigations as needed
