Duties

- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in humanities including grade 7 ELA, grade 10 ELA, high school drama.
- Facilitate lively classroom discussions that promote critical thinking and diverse perspectives
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback
- Incorporate multimedia resources and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain organized records of student performance, attendance, and lesson plans
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives
- Support students’ individual needs through tutoring, mentorship,



or accommodations for special education requirements
- Incorporate faith-based education in daily lessons and interactions.

Requirements

- Proven classroom experience teaching middle or high school humanities subjects
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts and foster student engagement
- Excellent writing skills for lesson planning, student feedback, and documentation
- Attention to detail with proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in assignments and materials
- Organizational skills to manage multiple classes, assessments, and student records efficiently
- Experience in tutoring or supporting students with diverse learning needs, including special education considerations
- Knowledge of educational best practices and current curriculum standards in humanities disciplines
- Preferred education in a Christian postsecondary institution.
