Job Overview The award winning Aegir Room in the award winning Oswego Hotel is seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. This position requires robust leadership abilities, a commitment to food safety, and a dedication to providing exceptional dining experiences.

Responsibilities
Ensure all food handling and preparation complies with health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the culinary team to create creative dishes that align with restaurant standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Handle customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.

Requirements
Proven experience in food service,



preferably in a restaurant setting.
Robust knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Previous experience in bartending is an advantage but not required.

MUST BE CURRENTLY LIVING IN VICTORIA PLEASE. Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
