This full time temporary position within the Art Curator's Office focuses on preserving and documenting the university’s art collection.
As an Art Gallery and Collections Technician, you will be integral in preparing exhibitions, safely handling artworks, and overseeing daily operations. Engage with curators and professional conservators for effective collection care. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a complete inventory of artworks
Ensure safe transportation of art pieces
Process all record-keeping for the collection
Install artworks and coordinate exhibition setups
Perform daily maintenance of gallery conditions Requirements:
Completion of degree/diploma in related field
Minimum two to three years of art handling experience
Knowledge of museum standards and safety practices
Ability to solve design challenges creatively
