About the job Senior Tax Manager Vancouver Job Description:
Deliver high-level tax planning strategies for clients
Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing continuous feedback
Coordinate and review special tax projects
Assist with overall management and marketing of the tax group
Qualifications:
CPA designation and completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Program
Proficiency in CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office
Experience in a public accounting firm as a manager or senior manager
Ability to build strong working relationships with partners, clients, and related advisors
In-depth knowledge of private company Canadian income tax matters
Robust technical skills with a creative approach to practical solutions
Excellent analytical, leadership, problem-solving skills, and professional judgment
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
High standard of integrity and commitment to exceptional client service




Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to lifelong learning and continually improving knowledge related to this position
Skills - Must Have:
Completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax program
5+ years of Canadian tax experience at another CPA firm in Canada
Experience managing a team of tax staff
Experience in tax planning, compliance, returns, and income tax for private company clients
Experience working with owner-managed, small to mid-sized organizations
Current work experience at a CPA firm in Canada
Ability to come into the Vancouver office on a hybrid schedule
