Alarm System Technician/Security Alarm TechnicianSDS Security is currently seeking a Security Technician/Installer to join our team.Minimum of 1 year experience in video cameras, alarm systems, access control, intercom systems and low voltage wiring is required. Priority will be given to candidate with residential and commercial alarm installations.Responsibilities & Job DutiesInstallation of Alarms, Video Cameras, home automation, Access Control and Intercom systemsIncluding pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting and repairWired and wireless installations in residential and commercial locationsAbility to provide a high level of customer service including customer training on installed equipmentAbility to respond to technical inquiriesAbility to reads schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation requirementsFollows all safety protocols and procedures including maintaining secure and secure driving habitsCommunicates effectively with office, field staff,



and customersAbility to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbsAbility to work in confined spaces and maneuvering ladders at heights up to 25 feetAbility to meet project deadlines and budgetsQualificationsExperience with the security systems required (residential and commercial alarms)Experience with Video Cameras, access Control and Intercom systems requiredKnowledge of wire, wiring techniques and solderingExisting M-License or eligible for M-LicenseExperience using hand tools and digital multimetersComputer and networking skills requiredGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsFull Class 5 Driver LicenseEducation RequirementsHigh School DiplomaElectronics training would be considered an assetoRRC Electronic TechTarget starting salary for this position is $26/hour (depending on experience)Salary range for Security Alarm Technician at SDS Security is $24 - $33 per hourSalary will be commensurate with experience levelAdditional Information / BenefitsDental, Medical, Life Insurance and Long-Term DisabilityScreening Requirements: Clean Criminal Background Check & Driver’s extract requiredFull time schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00Evening and weekend overtime work sometimes available (on a voluntary basis)#J-18808-Ljbffr
