Become a key player at Wexford Creek Seniors Community as a Recreation/Activity Aide. This position focuses on providing enriching and therapeutic activities for residents in Nanaimo. As a Recreation/Activity Aide, you will be involved in planning and implementing various social and therapeutic programs tailored to enhance the well-being of elderly residents.

A Recreational/Activity Certification and a valid Class 4 BC driver’s license are prerequisites. Effective communication skills are necessary for connecting with residents and reporting program feedback. Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement engaging recreation programs
Direct and teach activities to both residents and volunteers
Assist with resident mobility and transfer during activities
Provide support during meal time as needed
Document activities and gather attendance statistics Requirements:
Graduation from recognized recreational institution required
Must possess a Class 4 BC driver’s license
Valid First Aid Level 1 with CPR “A” certification
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination needed
Solid communication in English required Bring joy and connection to residents through meaningful activities.
