From advanced automation to digital transformation, we’re driving the future of industrial performance.We’re looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our Automation & Digitalization team—someone who thrives on building smart, reliable systems and wants to play a key role in delivering impactful projects across North American pulp and paper industrial facilities.What You’ll DoYou’ll be at the center of high-impact projects, responsible for guiding control systems project development from concept through commissioning:Lead and support control systems projects through all phases—feasibility, design, implementation, and commissioningIdentify opportunities to expand automation and electrification scope within projects to deliver additional client valueCollaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are successfully achievedDesign and develop modern control systems (hardware and software) tailored to client needsDevelop process control narratives to integrate automation solutions with new and existing equipment and processesBuild and implement control algorithms and logic, based on industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.Test, simulate, and troubleshoot systems to ensure performance, reliability, and complianceProduce clear,



high-quality technical documentation and project deliverablesDrive checkout and commissioning activities to completion including the ability to provide training to operations and maintenance teams on DCS system handoverLeadership & ImpactGuide the team - Mentor and coach junior engineers and technologists to expand their control systems engineering skills and knowledgeLead the business – support estimates and proposals, project planning, and risk mitigation strategiesLead by example - Uphold and reinforce ANDRITZ’s quality standards, and core #1ANDRITZway behavioursWhat You BringDegree or diploma in Engineering (automation, electrical, or related field)Registration as EIT, P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia10+ years of industrial experience (Pulp & Paper and consulting experience is a strong asset)Excellent communication and leadership skillsHands‑on design and configuration experience with DCS platforms (e.G., ABB, Emerson, Foxboro, Honeywell)Experience with PLC/HMI systems and project management is an assetProven problem‑solving ability across control systems hardware, software, and communicationsStrong knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity practicesWillingness and ability to travel to domestic and international project sitesLegally entitled to work in CanadaWhy Join ANDRITZ?Work on cutting-edge automation and digitalization projectsBe part of a global leader in industrial engineeringCollaborate with a team that values innovation, ownership, and continuous learningSalary range 120,000 to 160,000; commensurate withexperience.ANDRITZ is an equal prospect employer.
