Overview

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems and network infrastructure across various sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fibre optic cabling, low voltage systems, and telecommunication technologies. 1.) Need Class 5 Driver's license

2.) Ability to afford a white van and tools.

3.) Unpaid training provided prior to work.

4.) Must be a Canadian Citizen, PR holder or open work permit. Must be legal to work in Canada.

Duties

- Install, configure, and repair telecommunication systems including telephony, Fibre Optic, WAN, and network infrastructure.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform low voltage wiring, wiring termination, and system testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement for equipment and cabling.




- Document all work performed accurately in accordance with company procedures.

Skills

- Proven experience with telecommunication systems, WAN networks, and network infrastructure setup.
- Familiarity with telecommunication standards, Fibre optic cable, wiring practices, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing, and working at heights using bucket trucks or ladders.
- Relevant certifications or experience in telecommunication installation or electrical work is preferred. This position is essential for maintaining reliable communication systems across our facilities and client sites, requiring a combination of technical expertise, safety awareness, and physical dexterity to succeed in a rapid-paced environment.
- Installation of security system including wireless cameras under supervision.
