About the RoleWe are looking for a Welding Technician to support welding operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical welding knowledge who enjoys working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.This is not only a hands-on welding role. The Welding Technician will help support welders, troubleshoot welding issues, improve processes, maintain welding standards, and assist with documentation and certifications.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport welding activities on the production floor.Help troubleshoot welding issues and support production teams.Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.Support welding procedures and documentation, including WPS, PQR, and WPQ.Help maintain welding certifications and compliance with applicable standards.Support welding processes such as MIG/GMAW, FCAW/MCAW, TIG/GTAW, resistance welding, and laser welding.Assist with inspections and audits of welding workstations.Train and support welders and operators when needed.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Support robotic welding processes and automation projects.Use AutoCAD or DraftSight when required.QualificationsDiploma in welding, metallurgy, mechanical/manufacturing technology, or equivalent welding experience.1 to 3 years of experience in welding, production support, quality, or a similar role.Strong knowledge of welding processes such as MIG/GMAW, FCAW/MCAW, and TIG/GTAW.Knowledge of welding standards such as AWS, CSA, ISO, or CWB is an asset.Experience with WPS, PQR, WPQ,
