Empower children impacted by abuse as a Temporary PEACE Counsellor with SOWINS. Provide essential group counselling and comprehensive support services in a trauma-informed environment. SOWINS seeks a dedicated Full time PEACE Counsellor to assist children and families in the South Okanagan.

This role focuses on delivering psycho-educational programs designed with a trauma-informed approach. You will lead group workshops and provide advocacy and support for families affected by violence. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct group counselling workshops for children and youth
- Provide parenting and emotional support to caregivers
- Administer advocacy for victims of abuse
- Implement feminist and trauma-based counselling strategies
- Engage in ongoing training and support with the counselling team Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field
- Two years' experience in counselling children
- Certification in First Aid & CPR Level C
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training required
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check necessary Join SOWINS to make a meaningful impact in support of women and children in our community.
