THE WATCH - TEAM LEAD Full Time - Permanent The Lethbridge Police Service is accepting applications for a full-time permanent Watch Team Lead with an anticipated start date of October 2026. We are looking for a trained, prepared, results‑oriented team member who demonstrates professionalism and is committed to providing exemplary public service in support of the community and the police service.

Key responsibilities include

- Provide on‑street coordination of the assigned volunteers - Offer assistance to any person seeking access to social supports - Document all activities and events in a notebook - Ensure written reports are completed accurately and submitted as required - Utilise radio communications to record activities and events with the Public Safety Communications Centre and summon appropriate emergency services when required - Engage with all people in the community and build lasting relationships - Reach out and offer help whenever it is needed - Support other social agencies and outreach organisations in their work when required - Participate in training activities - Coordinate requests for a Safe Walk - Perform other related duties as assigned by the Watch Manager or Staff Sergeant of Support Services Required qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older - Valid AB Class 5 Driver’s License (Non‑GDL) - Robust leadership and decision‑making skills - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Excellent customer service skills - Empathetic, friendly, enthusiastic,



and outgoing with a positive attitude - Team player who contributes positively to the team - Physically fit and able to walk many kilometres a day - Strong oral and written communication skills and great interpersonal skills - Awareness and understanding of Indigenous culture and history - Awareness of diverse demographics and cultures within the City of Lethbridge - Familiarity and knowledge of the City of Lethbridge Assets:
- Familiarity with matters related to mental health and addictions - Valid CPR and First Aid certification The successful candidate must consent to a police security clearance, which includes a voluntary completion and submission of a personal disclosure form, criminal and police records check, reference checks and truth verification through polygraph examination.

Wage: $25.77 per hour (2026 Rate) Hours: Full‑time; average of 42 hours per week.

Schedule: We operate 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Full‑time staff work 12‑hour shifts on a rotating 4‑days‑on / 4‑days‑off cycle, which includes days, evenings, and weekends. This permanent full‑time position with the City of Lethbridge/Lethbridge Police Service includes a comprehensive flexible benefits package and a defined benefit pension plan (LAPP).
