Senior Information and Data Security Analyst

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for experienced professionals to join our cross‑functional team with the primary goal of providing and maintaining security infrastructure, supporting RBC's growth, innovation and adoption of emerging technologies. The role involves oversight, monitoring and technical enhancements to sensitive data discovery solutions.

What will you do?

- Perform deep‑dive troubleshooting of the platform in a complex environment and implement operational enhancements.
- Communicate with internal areas at all reporting levels.
- Collaborate with data security teams to address operational issues and enhance monitoring controls.
- Coordinate policy updates with other team members.
- Ensure process documentation is maintained, reviewed and updated continuously.
- Own problems and lead projects.
- Plan and control execution of releases into the managed environment.
- Identify areas for automation and scripting to improve processes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure security or IT application security.
- Experience running data discovery tools focused on sensitive data in structured or unstructured data sets.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux, equivalent to an administrator level.




- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with global deployments of data discovery products and/or cloud‑based solutions.

Nice to have:

- Industry certifications such as CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or CISM.
- Knowledge of financial services business lines, associated applications and processes.
- Understanding of IT standards, methodologies and audit requirements.
- Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with cloud platforms, SSO and APIs.
- Knowledge of shell scripting.
- Experience with database technologies, mainframe and Unix.
