Our premium land positions, diversified portfolio and financial flexibility set the stage for our talented teams to showcase their proven ability to deliver top-tier results.Be part of the energy – join Paramount today!We’re a Canadian company based in Calgary, Alberta and our shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol POU.About this OpportunityReporting to the Maintenance Foreman, the Instrumentation Technician will be a key member of the Maintenance team to provide instrumentation maintenance in a busy area with continuous new development.The successful candidate(s) will be based out of the Fox Creek or Whitecourt area working directly at the 8-09 Gas Plant and work an 8&6 shift.Job functions will involve:Environment, Health and Safety must be a prioritySupport Maintenance Foreman in delivery of professional support services to OperationsSupport and initiate safe work practices; following all Paramountpolicies and proceduresInstrumentation maintenance and trouble-shooting of oilfield and plant control equipment (pneumatic and electronic)Preventative maintenance on shutdowns, gas detection, measurement equipment, and controls as related to sour gas facilities, field batteries, satellites, gas and oil wellsCalibrate,
troubleshoot and repair SCADA systems, including Bristol, Fisher, BartonMaintain a high standard of workmanship, safety awareness and housekeepingRequired Skills & Qualifications:Must possess a valid Alberta Journeyman Instrumentation Certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal equivalentMinimum 5 years’ experience in a related roleKnowledge of operations (sweet and sour) in areas of plant, field, construction, pipelines or a combinationExperience with SCADA installations and PLC programming would be an assetGood working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programs. Must be able to learn, adhere and work with all Paramount based software programsExperience with Maximo or other CMMS system would be an assetHighly motivated, able to work in a team environmentStrong commitment to Health, Safety and the EnvironmentSelf-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong troubleshooting and decision making skillsValid Class 5 driver's license and valid safety tickets including First Aid, H2S, WHMIS, and TDGAbility to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMust be willing to work overtime and be on call as requiredBenefits of Joining the Paramount TeamThis position will provide you with an opportunity to leverage your skills in support of a Canadian-based energy company.
