Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on various trailer types and heavy equipment
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems accurately
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify trailers as needed
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, or assemble trailer components
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure all work is performed following safety protocols

Requirements





- Proven mechanic experience with trailer repair or heavy equipment maintenance; dealership experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of trailers, excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools for repairs
- Experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding environments safely
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques for industrial equipment
- Valid certifications in heavy equipment operation or maintenance are advantageous
