Employment Details

Full time, Permanent

Expected to visit various Pür & Simple locations, with extended travel for restaurant openings, occasionally out of province.

Starting salary: $60,000 per year (including vacations, statutory holidays, full medical and dental benefits).

Vacation: 10 business days.

Hours of work: Minimum 44 hours per week, flexible days, at least one weekend a month.

Store opening week: 7 days of work back‑to‑back over three weeks, one day off within the 21 days, with 5 days off after the opening is complete.

Expenses: Reasonable expenses reimbursed via expense report in accordance with company standards.

Primary Role Summary

The Training & Operations Consultant is the primary liaison between franchised store locations and head office. Using their restaurant operations and business experience, they provide leadership, coaching, and advice to Franchise Partners, improving sales, profits, and ensuring compliance with Pür & Simple’s operating systems and standards. They lead restaurant openings, play a major role in restaurant set‑up, and train Franchise Partners and their teams.

Responsibilities

- Monitor franchise operations to ensure consistent achievement of food safety, quality, hospitality, and cleanliness standards.
- Protect brand equity through consistent franchise execution and delivery of approved products and procedures.
- Plan and conduct working store visits to continuously improve quality, hospitality, and cleanliness, including food product quality monitoring.




- Monitor and ensure total store “Service Excellence,” implementing corrective action and following up as required.
- Determine the financial status of each franchise operation, provide advice and counsel, and establish sales and operating budgets for assigned areas.
- Set sales goals, monitor progress, and manage prior year comparatives.
- Manage store requirements for new product and menu item rollouts.
- Effectively and successfully manage Pür & Simple restaurant openings, including physical set‑up and training of incoming employees and Franchise Partners.
- Enhance brand value in current and future customers by supporting Franchise Partners through audits, ongoing visits, coaching, and support.
- Develop respectful working relationships with all Franchise Partners, trainers, and team members.
- Promote a positive team environment, leading by example to provide value to our Franchise Partners with every store visit.
- Assist units with the implementation of food cost procedures, forecasting, labor costing, schedule costing, and management scheduling.
- Document all visits using the approved Pür & Simple forms and processes.
- Address third‑party audit findings for brand compliance and follow up on non‑compliance.
- Monitor Google Reviews and follow up with Franchise Partners to ensure guest satisfaction.




- Attend all head office meetings regarding the operation of Pür & Simple Restaurants Inc.
- Comply with general expectations of conduct of Pür & Simple Restaurants Inc.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years in a multi‑unit role within a full‑service franchise restaurant, or a minimum 3–5 years of restaurant management experience.
- Previous experience with P&L; accountability and literacy.

- Solid analytical skills and the ability to manage priorities and multiple projects in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to see implications and provide creative solutions and recommendations.
- Honesty, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Robust organizational and time‑management skills using Outlook or other scheduling programs.

Working Conditions

- Flexible work conditions including some nights and weekends.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (potentially up to 10–12 hours a day).
