Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will contribute to the smooth flow of goods and exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class 1 heavy-duty trucks for local and long-haul freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brakes, lights, tires, and mechanical systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers,



warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse operations when necessary, including inventory management and freight organization

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform inspections, and work in various weather conditions
