Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trailers and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to timely deliveries.

Duties

- Conduct comprehensive inspections of trailers, tractor-trailers, and heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
- Carry out fabrication tasks such as welding, metal fabrication, and assembly of trailer parts or equipment components.
- Maintain and service auxiliary equipment including forklifts, excavators, cranes, and farm machinery as needed.
- Use power tools and hand tools to perform tire service,



shocks & struts replacement, alignment adjustments, and general maintenance.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and document repair activities thoroughly.

Skills

- Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and brake repair.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiar with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and automotive repair procedures.
- Ability to operate power tools safely while performing vehicle maintenance or equipment repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
