Job Overview The Leduc School of Music and Art Inc. is seeking a Ukulele Teacher. The ideal candidate has undergone years of formal music lessons themselves, and is a confident ukulele player. This candidate understands how to structure a private music lesson such that all the components of ukulele - strumming, chording, rhythm reading, and style - are taught, and the ukulele teacher enjoys interacting with students, and is able to develop a students’ confidence and skills within a positive and enjoyable learning setting.
Skills Required
Provide individualized ukulele instruction to students of varying skill levels, and be responsive to the individual student and able to tailor lessons to their unique needs and goals.
Able to use established brand ukulele method books carried by Leduc’s Own Music Shop, as well as be able to supplement with additional and engaging material to match with students’ musical interests.
Provide instrumental backup to students as they play their solo ukulele material.
Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations for practice.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour
