Join our dynamic Tax team as a Tax Preparer (US and Canada), where your expertise will empower clients to navigate complex tax landscapes with confidence. In this energetic role, you’ll play a vital part in preparing accurate US and Canada tax returns, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with current tax laws. Duties

- Prepare and review USA and Canada individual, business, and investment tax returns with precision and efficiency.
- Analyze financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and receipts to gather relevant data for tax filings.
- Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other bookkeeping tools to organize financial information.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy across various accounts including payroll, accounts payable, and receivable.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies by providing insights based on their financial data and investment portfolios.
- Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax benefits.




- Support auditing processes by reviewing financial records and preparing documentation for audits or inquiries.

Experience

- Proven experience in US and Canada tax preparation or accounting roles within the financial services industry.
- Solid analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Familiarity with tax and accounting software such as Drake, DT Max, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices.
- Experience handling accounts payable, payroll processing, budgeting, and investment analysis is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple client files efficiently.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and professionally to clients of diverse backgrounds.
