Reporting to the Supervisor, Technical Standards, this management role focuses on overseeing protection and control (P&C;) systems. You will engage in extensive coordination studies, fault isolation, and real-time technical support for field operations. Your analytical skills and technical knowledge will directly contribute to enhancing safety and reliability across Hydro Ottawa’s grid operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct protection coordination studies and system setting updates
• Collaborate with field teams on relay malfunctions




• Manage lifecycle of protection system settings and programming
• Develop test plans for P&C; devices
• Investigate power quality events and system disturbances

Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering
• Qualified Engineer license in Ontario
• Knowledge of Protection and Control philosophies
• Experience with Power Engineering Software tools
• Bilingual skills in English and French considered an asset
