As an Occupational Therapist, you will utilize cutting-edge techniques to create tailored therapy programs for residents. Collaborating closely with the Resident Care Team, you will assess cognitive, physical, and social needs to ensure effective interventions. Your expertise will enhance the quality of life for those in long-term care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess residents' habilitation needs and develop personalized plans
• Implement individual and group treatment programs
• Collaborate with care teams to craft comprehensive care plans
• Maintain clinical records and monitor therapy progress
• Train staff in body mechanics and lifting techniques
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university
• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapy of BC
• Minimum two years’ experience in long-term care
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to organize work and prioritize tasks
