As a Term full-time Member Services Officer with SGEU, you will be the first point of contact for stewards and members, adept in union procedures and collective agreement interpretation. You will assist in conflict resolution while building functional relationships within the labour community. This role is integral to fostering a collaborative, inclusive work workplace and requires experience in advocacy or elected roles.

Key Responsibilities:
• Explain collective agreement language to members
• Support stewards in conflict resolution and inquiries




• Establish relationships with stewards and SGEU staff
• Prepare for and support training events and labour schools
• Update member information systems accurately

Requirements:
• Degree in Labour Relations or related field
• Knowledge of employment law and human rights
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 tools
• Experience in empathetic, service-oriented support
