The Safety Trainer plays a vital role inmaintaininga strong safety culture across the region for bothouremployees and customers.
WhatYou’llBe Doing
Be theface of ourhealth and safetydepartmentby engagingwithstaff andcustomers through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions with a professional attitude.
Deliver safety training programstointernal team members and external customers.
Maintainaccurateand up-to-date safety and training records for the region.
Ensure all employee training and legislative requirements are met and documented.
Develop and deliver engaging, effective training plans and learning materials.
Work closely with employees toidentifystrengths and areasfor improvement, tailoring learning plans as needed.
Direct structured learning experiences to support skill development and protected work practices.
Monitor training effectiveness and provide follow-up coaching or retraining asrequired.
Inventory,maintain, and distribute training aids, manuals, and learning materials.
Collaborate seamlessly with your colleagues to create a supportive and efficient work environment.
Follow all workplace safety protocols and environmentally sound practices, making sure everyone stays safe.

What We're Looking For
TrainingExperience: At least two years of experience in trainingrolewith the ability to develop engaging training plans andfacilitateeffective learning experiences.
Strong Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Public Speaking Skills: Confidence speaking to groups of varying sizes.
Safety Background and Legal Knowledge: Knowledge of Health and Safety and or a background in Health and Safety Management with a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory safety requirements.
Detail Oriented: High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills.
Adaptable: Ability to adapt to changing responsibilitiesand work effectivelyin a fast-paced environment.
Flexible: Flexibility to support customer and internal schedules, including occasional after-hourstraining.
ComputerSkills: Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel.) Experience with Systematics would be an asset.
Construction Knowledge: Background in the construction environment with general knowledge of construction equipment and products.
Customer Service Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a knack for making customers feel valued.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
A Self-Starter: With a keen sense oftime-managementand effective planning skills.
Willingnessto Travel: Willingness to travel within and around the province asrequired.
G ClassDriver’s License: Full G Class driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
A technical understanding of CAT equipment would be considered an asset.
Experience monitoring training effectiveness and providing follow-up asrequired.
