Lead the Arctic Athabaskan Council as a Senior Executive Officer based in Whitehorse, Yukon. This strategic role focuses on governance, partnerships, and advocating for Arctic Athabaskan Peoples.
The successful candidate will possess extensive senior leadership experience and a strong grasp of Indigenous governance. You will oversee operations, manage finances, and advance AAC’s policies at various levels. Your expertise in Arctic issues and environmental advocacy will play a critical role in supporting the organization's priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead organizational operations and governance initiatives
• Provide financial oversight and policy development
• Supervise the Program Manager and team members
• Build relationships with Indigenous governments and partners
• Engage in national and international advocacy efforts
Requirements:
• Minimum of five years in senior management roles
• Strong background in Arctic policy and governance
• Expertise in climate change and environmental advocacy
• Proven financial management skills and collaboration experience
• Robust leadership and organizational abilities
