What you'll do Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
Utilize various measuring and testing equipment to assess the quality of products, documenting findings accurately for review.
Collaborate closely with suppliers to address quality issues, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Maintain detailed records of inspections and quality control processes, ensuring traceability and accountability.
Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
Work alongside production teams to identify and resolve quality-related challenges during the manufacturing process.
Conduct regular audits of the quality control processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Provide training and guidance to team members on quality control best practices and procedures.
Assist in the investigation of customer complaints related to product quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality control methodologies to continuously improve processes.
Support the continuous improvement initiatives within the organization by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting actionable solutions.
Foster a culture of quality and accountability within the team, promoting awareness of quality standards across all departments.
Requirements A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably within the manufacturing or HVAC industry.
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques, including statistical process control.
Proficient in using measuring instruments and testing equipment relevant to quality inspection.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based on findings.
Solid attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal,
to convey quality-related information clearly to team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with ISO standards and other relevant industry certifications is an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Bilingualism in French and English is preferred to facilitate communication within the team and with suppliers.
Nice to have Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and certification is a plus.
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a quality control department.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in manufacturing.
Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops on quality control topics.
