Shape the urban landscape at UBC as a Municipal Landscape Architect. This role focuses on planning, asset stewardship, and long-term strategy for campus sustainability and biodiversity.
Join UBC's Facilities department in a key role under the Director of Municipal Services. As a landscape architect, you'll manage multiple projects that align urban forestry and operational needs. Your expertise will ensure that maintenance strategies, resource demands, and lifecycle performance are effectively considered in all planning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee capital renewal strategies for urban forestry assets
• Coordinate maintenance plans and condition assessments
• Serve as a liaison between planning and operational teams
• Advocate for sustainable landscape project implementation
• Prepare graphical layouts, designs, and documentation
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in landscape architecture or related field
• Minimum six years of relevant experience
• Registration with the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects
• Knowledge of sustainable practices and urban design
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder liaison
