Role Responsibilities Treat a variety of dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, rashes, skin cancer, hair loss, and skin infections.
Seeing up to 25 patients per 8-hour shift.
Ensures accurate and timely medical charting and billing.
Observe, assess, monitor, and document patient symptoms, reactions, and progress.
Assist dermatologists during wide local excisions and other advanced procedures.
Receive additional training in biopsy, suturing, and removals prior to performing procedures independently.
Educate and inform patients about self-care, medication management, wound care, and post procedure recovery.
Possess advanced product knowledge to advise clients on proper care beyond the clinic.
Counsel patients confidentially on the details and risks of procedures and treatments
Ensure proper sterilization of equipment through medical device reprocessing between patients.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms.
Follow clinic protocols to prevent medical or clerical errors.
Communicate effectively within the nursing team to support a cohesive environment.
Participate in both in-house and external training sessions as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management or the supervisory team.
Role Qualifications Current registration and active license in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (e.g., College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta).
Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
A minimum of 1-3 years of practical nursing experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering quality care.
*10 hour shifts are available.
