Coordinator of Digital Library Services

Reporting to the Supervisor of Library Services, this position is responsible for the administration and oversight of all digital resource platforms and systems provided through Library Services in support of students and staff. The incumbent assists the Supervisor in providing guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding the effective use, access, and integration of these resources. The position also supports the maintenance, functionality, and optimal use of the Board's library management systems, databases, and associated digital tools.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
Digital Library Services Support
Oversees centrally curated Sora digital library collection and access support
Library supported digital curriculum resources (Britannica, Curio, and others)
Access training and resource promotion assistance for teachers and support staff
Sub-administration of current library management software and databases
Central collection database tracking and maintenance
Collaboration with Supervisor on library system training for new library staff
Library Services
Assistance with major projects (renovations/new libraries/closures)
Collaboration with Supervisor on support standards for library services team
Assist in operation and planning of library services team meetings
Assist with delivery of training and information for non-library staff groups
Oversee digital library services archives (historical documentation, shared resources for library team, communications)
Assists with communicating any adjustments or updates to library services
Other Duties as Assigned
Coverage of committee meetings in the absence of the Supervisor
Other duties as needed
WHAT YOU BRING:
Library Technician diploma with digital services specialty
Master of Library Sciences (MLIS) with a digital services specialization, is preferred
3+ years with proven experience in digital library systems, UX and enterprise platform
Digital services, networking & IT, UX, Enterprise level systems certification or designation
Experience working in a public or school library setting.
Experience with digital library collections and electronic resources.
Proficiency in using library management systems and related technologies.
Knowledge of subscription management and library resource services.
Strong customer service skills
This is a full - time permanent position.
HOURS: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
LOCATION:
Catholic Education Centre, Welland, ON
SALARY : $ 57,846.67 - $64,274.06 per annum
