What You’ll Be Doing

- Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams and procedures
- Safely and compassionately handling and restraining patients (dogs and cats)
- Preparing exam rooms, equipment, and treatment areas
- Supporting hospitalized patients with providing husbandry and TLC
- Communicating clearly and kindly with clients and team members
- Helping keep our hospital clean, organized, stocked, and running smoothly
- Preparing fecal and blood samples for the lab

What We’re Looking For





- Veterinary assistant experience (or equivalent hands-on animal care experience), or holds a certificate/diploma in animal care
- Solid animal handling skills, attention to detail, and an ability to think ahead and multitask
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills (efficient, very pleasant, courteous, polite, and helpful under all conditions)
- A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and patient care
- A focus on cleanliness of the facility as a priority (lots of cleaning and laundry!)
- A candidate with a adaptable schedule that can work a mixture of shifts (up to 12 hours), and can work Sunday 9am-4:30pm
