Our client, a growing and diversified organization within the construction sector, is seeking a strategic Vice President, Finance to join its executive leadership team.

Reporting directly to the President/CEO, the VP Finance will serve as a trusted business partner, providing financial leadership, operational insight, and strategic guidance to support continued growth and long-term value creation. This individual will oversee all aspects of finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and business planning while helping drive operational excellence across multiple business units and assets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Partner with the executive team to develop and execute the organization's strategic plan.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations that support growth initiatives, profitability, capital allocation, and operational decision-making.
- Evaluate business opportunities, acquisitions, developments, investments, and expansion initiatives.
- Support long-term financial planning and scenario modeling.

Financial Management & Reporting

- Lead all accounting and finance functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and management reporting.
- Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to leadership.




- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Real Estate, Construction & Asset Management Support

- Provide financial oversight for construction projects, capital expenditures, development initiatives, and real estate investments.
- Monitor project performance, costing, budgeting, and return on investment.
- Support property portfolio analysis, asset management strategies, and financial performance optimization.
- Assist with financing arrangements, lender relationships, and capital planning.

Treasury & Risk Management

- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, cash management, and liquidity planning.
- Lead financial risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls, policies, and governance frameworks are maintained.

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Partner with operational leaders to enhance financial understanding and business performance across the organization.

Executive & Board Support

- Prepare and present financial information to senior leadership, ownership, lenders, investors,



and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice regarding business performance, market opportunities, and organizational growth.
- Participate as a key member of the executive leadership team.

Qualifications

- CPA designation required.
- Progressive finance leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility for financial strategy and operations.
- Experience within construction, real estate development, property management, infrastructure, or related asset-intensive industries is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and strategic planning activities.
- Experience supporting capital projects, financing arrangements, and investment evaluation.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
