As an R&D; Project Manager at Protocase, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and overseeing the development of new products and technologies. What you'll do Lead and manage multiple R&D; projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and production teams to develop project specifications and timelines.
Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to encourage innovative thinking among team members.
Prepare and present project updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets, to ensure transparency and accountability.
Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to source materials and technologies that enhance project outcomes.
Monitor industry trends and advancements to inform project direction and identify new opportunities for product development.
Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices throughout the R&D; process.
Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
Utilize project management tools and methodologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within an R&D; or engineering environment.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to product development.
Nice to have Experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in custom fabrication or prototyping.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
Knowledge of CAD software and design tools is a plus.
Previous experience in a leadership or mentorship role within a technical team.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
