Elevate your legal career with GreenShield as a Corporate Legal Counsel, specializing in corporate, commercial, and regulatory law. This role supports various business units in a not-for-profit environment, promoting health for Canadians.
In collaboration with the Associate General Counsel, you will provide timely, business-oriented legal advice and manage contracts, compliance, and enterprise initiatives at GreenShield. Your expertise will facilitate strategic business objectives while identifying and mitigating legal risks across a diverse range of sectors. This position primarily focuses on drafting agreements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance regulatory compliance and support product development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice on corporate and regulatory matters
• Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
• Support contract lifecycle from onboarding to renewals
• Identify legal risks and propose solutions
• Collaborate with IT, privacy, and other teams for compliance
Requirements:
• 1 to 5 years of relevant post-call experience
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial agreements
• Familiarity with health and insurance law is an asset
• Superior communication skills for non-legal stakeholders
• Robust organizational skills and ability to handle high volume
